We are more interested in a cinematic type of approach here, less of ‘another feather in the cap’ and more of a relationship/emotionally warranted displays of affection. Possibly quite like in some of the modern games, like “Heavy Rain” – we want to make it so that the plot and characters’ personalities logically conclude in them being together. This will definitely be closer to an “R-rated movie” than a card-collecting game. After all, we’re not making the game for the hormone-driven 14 year-olds, but for mature players. " ...

Csak nekem tünik ugy vagy tényleg szépfiusra vették geralt arcát...
CDP konferencián eddig ez derült ki a Witcher 2 ujdonságaiból.
- Story begins two months after W1. Geralt is asked by Foltest to travel across the country with him and restore order - The trailer with Bad Guy bringing head to elve’s cave is taking place before game starts - Vernon Roche (guy who is Geralt’s companion) is Foltest’s guy. He is also in charge of fighting non-humans unit - In W2 you can join different sword-strikes, magic, finishers, blocks and dodges into one string - In the forest you have to look after yourself. There is no level-scaling so entering dangerous places at the beginning could be suicidal idea - No horses - Those goblin-like monsters are called “nekkers” (in Polish, I also written as I heard it, so it could turn out to be written differently) - Those fractions mentioned before – there would be different fractions at different locations. - You could cut off limbs - About TPP camera – there will be many camera modes, adjusting to current situation (in combat, indoor, walking etc) - About decisions to be made in short time while in dialogue – it would appear in dialogue when situation needs quick reactions. It won’t occur in every dialogue. Reds are inspired by Heavy Rain in this one - They want to every one new ability give us something new – a signs, a strike etc. There won’t be “+10 to stamina” stuff - Geralt’s development (while in game) is more complicated than in W1 - RotWW is frozen, CDP would like to return to this project, as they believe it could achieve success, but definitely not this year. - Animation system is just-started to be worked on, so is mim

Megnyugodtam. :) De remélem jól optimalizálják. A witcher-t is elég hanyagul optimalizálták. Nekem még a mostani gépemen is néha lassul. Pedig azért nem gyenge a gépem.

Will the developers of The Witcher be involved in The Witcher 2? The Witcher 2 is being developed by the same team which was responsible for the first one with some minor changes (50+ people remain from The Witcher’s development). It is true that there were some cuts in the development department at CD Projekt, but those were mostly connected with freezing development of The Witcher: Rise of The White Wolf.
What is the release date? We haven’t established a release date yet. It will be announced together with our future publisher. However, please do not expect the game too soon. The Witcher 2 is still deeply in the development stage and as it is huge and complex, there is still many, many hours of work in front of us.
When we will see more materials from the game? Except for this FAQ we do not plan any materials to be released soon. An official trailer and other stuff will be done with our publisher, and it won’t be very soon. Sorry.
What engine will be used in The Witcher 2? The game does not use the Aurora Engine anymore. We developed a brand new engine dedicated to creating games with the design and features we love (basically the same concept as in the first Witcher but everything done much better, smoother and with some significant improvements). The new engine is fully scalable and, well… kicks ass;). We believe it will let us avoid all bottlenecks we came across during development of the first Witcher. Exact engine specifications, features and name will be revealed after the official announcement.
What platform will the game be released on? Although PC is certain choice we made regarding platforms for The Witcher 2, we also want to release the console version. More information will come after official announcement of the game.
A lényeg hogy nincs egyenlöre megjelenési dátum és multiplatform lesz / de a pc az elsödleges / valamint az a videobol is látszik már nem Aurora engine lesz a játék grafikus motorja.

Egyébként nincs hivatalosan bejelentve, a korábban kiszivárgott - értsd: hazai "szaksajtót" bejárt - értesülést cáfolták. Azt persze úgymond tudhatjuk, hogy fejlesztik már egy ideje, de semmi hivatalosat.
