A PSG után most egy másik francia klub, a Lyon tûnik befutónak, már ami Patrick Vieira leigazolását illeti. A hétszeres francia bajnok egyesület a L’Equipe információi szerint kétéves szerzõdést kínál az Inter 33 éves játékosának, akinek csak az számít, hogy a következõ idényben rendszeres játéklehetõséghez jusson.

A nyár elején még a nagy terveket szövögetõ PSG-vel hozták kapcsolatba Vieirát, a fõvárosi kapcsolat azonban mára úgy tûnik, hogy teljesen kihûlt, a Lyon viszont lecsapna a világ- és Európa-bajnok futballistára.

Claude Puel, a Lyon menedzsere hétfõn állítólag személyesen találkozott a játékossal, akinek kétéves szerzõdést, és idényenként 2 millió eurót kínál a 2002 és 2008 között hét bajnoki címet nyerõ csapat.

A Birmingham City 6 milliót is fizetne neki egy évre, ám õ mégis inkább hazatérne. Az Internél José Mourinho terveiben nem szerepel a sérülékeny középpályás, márpedig neki mindennél fontosabb, hogy a dél-afrikai vb-t megelõzõ utolsó szezonban rendszeresen pályára léphessen, és így kivívja a helyét a francia válogatottban.

A Lyon a Real Madridhoz távozó Karim Benzema helyére már megszerezte Lisandro Lópezt a Portótól, a Juninho Pernambucano távozásával keletkezett ûrt azonban még nem sikerült betölteni a középpályán, ráadásul a legfrissebb hírek szerint Kim Källströmért bejelentkezett az Olympiakosz, és ha õ is eligazolna, akkor tényleg nem ártana az erõsítés középen.

Azért egy Trezeguetet nehogymár egy Mounierrel hasonlítgassunk, ez halva született dolog, te is beláthatod.

Szarnak talán nem az de Benzema már most jobb játékos és sokkal jobb lesz mint az a Trezeguet aki nagyon jól játszott.
Meg mi ez ha kapna lehetõséget? Fociban nincs ha. Nem kap játéklehetõséget valószínû azért mert már nem felel meg annak a szintnek. Ennyi erõvel Mounier is egy szupervilágsztár csak nem kap játéklehetõséget és ha csatár lenne a Real Madridban és mindenki vele akarna gólt lövetni akkor még gólkirály is lenne. Jézusom...

Ranieritõl nagyon kevés lehetõséget kapott trez, elég gyenge is volt a szezonja (sajnos), de ha megnézed az elmúlt 2-3 évet, annak ellenére hogy öregszik, még mindig húzóembere tud lenni a csapatnak

Reports in Spain say that Lyon want to sign Real Madrid striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy to replace Karim Benzema, who is going the other way.

Marca said that Les Gones were initially interested in another Dutch striker, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, but that he refused to join the French side with Milan and Manchester United reportedly interested.

The Spanish sports daily added Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas then asked his Real counterpart Florentino Perez to try to convince Van Nistelrooy, out injured for most of last season, to join the club.

The 33-year-old, who moved to Real in the summer of 2006, has said he would like to stay on at the Liga runners-up.

But he has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu following the £30 million plus signing of Benzema and has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Van Nistelrooy underwent an operation in November 2008 on his right knee which the club said would sideline him from six to nine months.

The Dutchman has scored 45 league goals for Real, four of them last season before being injured.

The former PSV and Manchester United star was the top scorer in La Liga for 2006-07 with 25 goals in 37 matches.

The Spanish press said Perez hopes to sell most of the club's Dutch players, including Van Nistelrooy, Huntelaar, Rafael van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and Royston Drenthe.

Karim Benzema is set to join Real Madrid after Lyon accepted an offer of 35 million euros (£30m) plus add-ons for the France striker.

The agreed fee, which could rise to 41m euros dependent on performances, was announced on Les Gones' website.

"Several days ago Karim Benzema told club president Jean-Michel Aulas of his wish to join Madrid - who were always his preferred destination after Lyon - more quickly than originally thought," L'OM said.

"The player wanted take the opportunity offered to be one of the key players in Madrid's ambitious new policy to collect some of the biggest players in the world.

"Lyon accepted Benzema's decision and we negotiated terms that pleased all parties concerned.

"The club would like to wish Benzema the best of luck with Real Madrid and that he gets the greatest benefit from an ambitious sporting and economic package which - given the different funding, sponsorship, fan-base and stadium size - we in France cannot compete with."

Radio Cadena Ser reported he will sign a six-year contract with the Spanish giants.

Club president Florentino Perez said that their next big signing would be presented "tomorrow", Thursday July 2.

France international Benzema is Madrid's third big-money summer signing following the acquisitions of Kaka (£60m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (£80m).

He has scored 37 Ligue 1 goals in the past two seasons for Lyon, with nine in 15 Champions League matches.

Premier League champions Manchester United were linked with the player after they received full payment from Real for Ronaldo's world-record move.

Both clubs are also thought to be interested in signing Bayern Munich's French attacking midfielder Franck Ribery.

Manchester United are thought to be closing in on Karim Benzema of Lyon. Miralem Pjanic, one of the Benzema's team-mates, has claimed the France striker is "nearly gone" to Old Trafford. Pjanic added: "The English club are willing to pay close to 45 million euros (£38m) for him and it is just a question of the day when he will move to England."






It's not just Manchester United fans who are getting excited about the possible arrival of Karim Benzema - Real Madrid are also thought to be close to capturing the in-demand striker. Marca claims the Spanish giants are willing to pay 35 million euros for the Lyon striker, although that's not even close to the 45m United are prepared to pay.






Galatasaray are tracking French winger Sidney Govou (30), who has not renewed his contract with Olympique Lyon and is therefore a free agent.

SWEDEN: Swedish midfielder Kim Kallstrom appears to be on his way from French giants Lyon to Greek giants Olympiacos for about five million euros (Expressen).




Lyon coach Claude Puel has admitted the club would let Karim Benzema leave if the striker wished to do so.

The 21-year-old is one of the world's hottest properties at the moment, with Internazionale, Manchester United and Real Madrid among the clubs reportedly considering a 40 million euro (£32m) bid.

Both Lyon and Benzema have always claimed he will remain at the Stade Gerland at least until next summer's World Cup, but Puel knows that could swiftly change.

"We know his importance at OL and his efficiency in our squad," Puel told the club website. "He's an exceptional player, but we also know the financial figures of the club."

He added: "We will evaluate the situation with him when he comes back - July 2 - what he wants to do, we'll listen to him.

"For several months he has said that he wishes to stay with us for the year before the World Cup.

"If he has any dreams of leaving we will discuss them with him if there are any concrete offers, which is not the case at the moment.

"So there is no 'Benzema problem' because the player is still with us. Ahead of a transfer which could be out of the ordinary, there is everything to consider."

Puel insists, however, that Benzema will only leave if the club manage to line up a suitable replacement.

"We will study the situation if it happens to present itself," he continued. "This doesn't mean that he will definitely leave Lyon.

"For any coach it would be a great loss to lose Karim. It would mean that we have to replace him - therefore it would be out of the question to lose Karim if one or two players of his calibre were not coming in."







Sources from Spain claim that Olympique Lyon officials made an attempt to sign Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from Real Madrid, but he rejected the offer.

Marseille have agreed a 17m euro fee with Porto for Lucho Gonzalez. Lisandro Lopez, also of Porto, is also set for a move to France, with Lyon interested in the Argentine star.



Mauro Camoranesi's agent says the Juventus midfielder will not move to Lyon in a swap deal involving fellow Italian Fabio Grosso. After all, "his life is organised in Turin" now and he "has also bought a new house" according to Sergio Fortunato.




On the subject of Karim Benzema, Lyon director of communications Olivier Blanc told L'Equipe: "We have not received any official offer for Karim, either from Madrid, Manchester or Arsenal. We had first contact with Real in the middle of last week. Anyway 32m euros (£27m) is not very realistic. If Madrid really made an offer, it would have been superior."

Real Madrid have reportedly offered 32 million euros for Lyon striker Karim Benzema after switching their attention to the France international from Valencia forward David Villa.


Spanish sports daily Marca said the French have yet to respond to Real's offer but last week Bernard Lacombe, adviser to Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas, told Marca that "nothing is impossible and if we receive a good offer we will not close the door to anyone."

Lyon's director of communication Olivier Blanc said merely that "the only news is Real Madrid contacted Lyon a few days ago to discuss Karim Benzema."

"Benzema and Olympique Lyon confirmed his initial desire is to stay another year with Lyon," Blanc said, adding that was also the club's preference.

Manchester United are also admirers of Benzema but Real have decided to swoop now given the reluctance of Valencia's new chairman Manuel Llorente to sell them Spain striker Villa.

Real chairman Florentino Perez, who has already landed Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka this summer for huge fees, has twice met with Benzema's agent Karim Djaziri, first in Madrid then Geneva, Marca reported last Wednesday as the chase hotted up.

As well as a cash deal, media reports in Spain say Real and Lyon could look at a part-exchange in the shape of either Real's Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar or his compatriot, winger Arjen Robben.







OL want Juventus winger Mauro Camoranesi in exchange for Grosso. On the other hand, Juventus do not want to give up Camoranesi. Juventus officials will try to convince OL with some alternative solutions in a few days. If a deal will not be reached then, Grosso will not be able to join Juventus.






FC Seville are tracking OL's Cameroonian midfielder Jean Makoun (26). The news comes from his agent Nikola Franco.

Manchester United want to sign Karim Benzema but Lyon should not ask for more than £35 million, according to the player's agent.

"(Sir Alex) Ferguson wants Karim this summer," representative Karim Djaziri was quoted saying by the Daily Mail. "However his transfer fee will not be above £35m.

"He is only 21, the only time a transfer of a 21-year-old went so high it was Robinho's transfer to Real Madrid (from Santos).

"Karim can't be valued higher than David Villa, who will cost more than £40m."

Lyon have been playing hardball over Benzema, who has also attracted interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea.

They initially insisted he would cost upwards of £60m but admitted they would take less if the player wanted to leave.

Both Benzema and his club previously stated that he will stay at Stade Gerland until after the 2010 World Cup.







Real Madrid have made an enquiry about Lyon and France striker Karim Benzema, according to the Ligue 1 club.
