A megjelenéstõl kicsit félek, azért remélem megjelenik.
The third part of the widely known simulator Dalnoboishiki has been worked on for a long time, to put it mildly, but still we have not seen anything related to the game, except for screenshots of blinding beauty.
They don’t tell us much about the game, not on the official sites, nor on the fan sites. They promise us the boundless open spaces of America, detailed physics of trucks, advanced economic model, many sets of characters, interaction with which will not be limited to participation in races.
Instead of digesting well-known facts and rumors, we decided to bet our luck and ask the game developers themselves. We managed to have a talk with the permanent project director Igor Belago.
We drove here in Mafia, and GTA 3, now lets take a drive in an 18-wheel monster.
The territory of the game world is more then 600km of roads, about 50 cities, almost all of California. It will be mandatory to have a graphic accelerator compatible with DirectX 9.0
Questions and answers
XS= XS magazine and I.B= Igor Belago.
XS: Will the game process itself undergo any serious changes? System of getting load orders, hiring of your own workers, the purchase of your trucks?
I.B: Yes the system will change very noticeably. The player will be able to get the load order and load the trailer on loading docks, which exist in almost every city of the gaming world. But to get information about really valuable loads for himself and his drivers, the player will really have to look hard. To hire workers and to find the best trucks, the player will need to consult the game’s version of the Internet.
Characters: Each working character in the game will have their own unique three-dimensional model, a voice, and some characteristics. The main character will be named simply “Kolya”, and his survival in the harsh road conditions of California will depend on the player. (Ubaku’s personal explanation Kolya is a short name for Nikolay)
XS: What interesting awaits us in the physics of the motion of the truck models? Will the physics be even more hard-core, or the physics will be made somewhat weaker?
I.B: The physics will be more correct, including the behavior of the vehicle as well as the imitation of its main systems. With these controls the driving of the trucks will become even easier, compared to the previous version, especially driving with the semi trailer.
Did you ever see how a truck like this brakes into the floor? Everything is still ahead!
XS: What surprises await us in America? What is waiting for us on the endless highways?
I.B: Mountains resting on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, deserts with the road stretching farther then the horizon, metropolises with complex Freeway Stack Interchanges, and skyscrapers, small western style towns with populations of 300 people, truck stops with bars, motels, and self service stations.
Any off-road car is only a potential scratch on the bumper
XS: Will there be a change in the balance between a practical simulator and an economic simulator? What will be our task during the majority of the game time?
I.B: Your task in the game will be whatever you like to do the most. If you are a racer at heart, you can dedicate most of your time to racing, if you want to try how you will do in business, you can concentrate on controlling your company and defeating your competition.
By the comforts of the cabin interior, American trucks can be compared with a Mercedes.
XS: Tell us a little bit about the technical components. What effects are used, what scales of the game world, and what system is required to see all their of charm?
I.B: The Game world will be continuous in time and space, as well as in the previous game. All effects connected to change of weather conditions and time of day, are almost completely remade by us. The territory of the game world is more than 600 km of roads, about 50 cities, among which are the primary highways and cities of California. It will be mandatory to have a graphic accelerator compatible with DirectX 9.0
XS: We heard that the game will have very detailed cities. How does this threaten us? Will we have to drive through endless traffic, while trying not to hit someone with our huge trailer, or are they made just for the delivery of cargo?
I.B: It’s boring in traffic. Therefore we will try our best to lower their occurrences. But there will be a lot of driving involved. Our version of San Francisco has already stretched to 20km.
XS: How about the music in our jukebox? Will we hear music related to our geographical location, meaning will we hear music in the style of country and blues?
I.B: Definitely.
This gives us Confidence: The first two games in the series had wonderful success. The game development team possesses experience of creation of professional simulators. The game has a serious publisher, and that means a bright future
We are not confident in: The fact that the game is taking so long to create. There is still little known about the game.

driver3 más séma volt, ott a konzolok miatt csusztatták :)
Már írtam, de áljon itt mégegyszer: Igor Belago from SoftLab-Nsk Ltd said that rig'n'roll's development must be ended this year. There are some technical problems with Rig'n'Rol site now. They fix them in several days. They have prepared one more update and will upload it as soon as the site start function again.
