Bandhavgarh National Park, India 1996 Michael Nichols
Surrounded by langur monkeys and other chitals, two males spar in the rutting season. Chitals are also called axis deer. They are [Bandhavgarh National Park's] most common tiger prey. igen, kedvenc angyalkánknak továbbra sem szokása a képaláírást/tájékoztatót lefordítani, vagy legalább bemásolni...

Yar Sale, Yamal Peninsula, Siberia, Russia 1996 Maria Stenzel
"Nenets in Yar Sale catch up on the news while displaying their finest reindeer coats and boots. Though the Soviets collectivized the herds and introduced state schooling for the children, about a third of Russia's 35,000 Nenets have kept their nomad culture almost intact."

A nap képe - nagyon durva a repülõgép tükörképe a pocsolyában!
Gabon, Africa 2002 Michael Nichols
"Logging okoume trees—the backbone of Gabon's rain forest and timber industry—was the greatest threat to areas now protected as parks. Cutting continues outside the parks, with most logs shipped to Asia and Europe." —From "Saving Africa's Eden," September 2003, National Geographic magazine
Gunung Mulu National Park, Sarawak, Malaysia 1998 Maria Stenzel
"To get flour from the rain forest, Asik, headman of a band of Penan nomads, tramples pulp from the sago palm as his wife adds water. Strained through a rattan mat, the pasty starch is collected and dried into powder. The nomad's staple food, sago is plentiful in Gunung Mulu National Park. Elsewhere in the forest, loggers plow down the palms to get at larger timber. The resulting underbrush—tangled and over-grown from direct sunlight—makes the remaining palms often difficult to reach."

Phuket, Thailand 1994 Jodi Cobb
Tourism has fed Thailand's economy for many years yet now casts a dark shadow on the environment. Pollution and deforestation due to commercial logging are slowly being curbed by new environmental restrictions. "For two dollars a day, Untouchable women load thousands of bricks at a dust-choked kiln in Rajasthan. This job, while not restricted to unclean castes, goes largely to Untouchables, their low status condemning them to the most menial work." —From "Untouchable," June 2003, National Geographic magazine

"With a palm-framed view of downtown, Clark Park is typical of the small parks in North Sydney." —From "Insider's Sydney," July/August 2004, National Geographic Traveler magazine
ez az uccsó 2 nekem nem tetszik.
igazából ezek a képek, a hozzájuk tartozó szövegkörnyezetben állják meg a helyüket, mivel egy riport részei...
a fotozz.hu-n úgyis lehúznák õket:)
