Amelie Mauresmo and Martina Hingis were locked at one set a piece when their WTA Berlin quarter-final was suspended on Friday for bad light. Hingis took the first set 6-4, before Mauresmo hit straight back, breaking the Swiss in the 10th game of the second set to take it by the same scoreline.
Play is set to resume at 12:00 CET on Saturday, with the winner due to take on defending champion Justine Henin-Hardenne, who beat Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4 7-6.
