?egint egy Amigás példa, dehát úgy látszik ez már csak így megy:
"Microsoft knew well of the Amiga, IT HA WORKED WIT COMMODORE to develop an Amiga version of its BASIC. (A pisspoor implementation). It ripped off as much Amiga technology as it could in developing Windows 95 (released in 1995), just as it had done earlier when ripping the Apple and Atari 8-bit operating systems while developing the earlier versions of MS-DOS. It bought the other technology that it couldn't duplicate after Commodore folded. The much exalted Plug-and-Play could come to be only after Microsoft bought the Amiga AutoConfig technology patents. In the 80's Microsoft / IBM knew that they couldn't deliver excellence such as the Amiga and the other 68000 processor based systems could deliver, so the campaign of fear mongering intensified. Large retail corporations were advised that pirates would prevent them from profiting, and they were mistaken not to focus on the marketing of (expensive) "IBM compatible" items.
Did you know that the very first certified Unix System 5 Release 4 implementation was on the Amiga? The other 68000 based systems such as the Atari ST and Apollo Workstations could also run REAL Unix. It seems as if the Intel based machines were too kludged to properly handle the complexities of a professional multi-tasking OS. Oh well, at least Linux (Unix emulation) has taken off, and that is good since the Wintel boxes are so predominate. Heck I'm using one now, it runs Red Hat, Netscape, and UAE on a AMD K6-2 CPU.
How many times did I hear from the business community in the 80's "Who needs (so many) colors?", "Who needs (stereo) sound? This is unnecessary in a computer.", " What is the mouse for, to play games?", and so on until Microsoft did it. Then it would become a requirement. And my biggest peeve were the usual responses on Amiga multitasking (unique in a home computer in the 1980's). Either "What is it?", or "Why would anyone want their computer to do more than one thing at a time?" (By the way there is a special on printer buffers this week.)" - www.heartbone.com
Érdemes elgondolkodni vajon miért írkálnak le néhol ilyeneket. Hát talán mégiscsak jó üzlet az m$-éknek ez a cégekkel való együttmûködés. Jah, ez is csak mese mi? Na persze...
