Lyon forward Sidney Govou has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon, the Ligue 1 club has confirmed.The France international picked up the injury in a training session on Wednesday afternoon.
The extent of the damage was confirmed some hours later, and a statement on Lyon's website revealed the 29-year-old will consult a specialist before deciding on a course of treatment.
Govou has featured 18 times for the French league leaders this season, scoring two goals.
Meanwhile, Lyon have confirmed centre-back John Mensah has a muscle tear which will keep him sidelined for three weeks.
