Didier Drogba, Julien Faubert and Olivier Kapo have spoken of their desire to return to France, where they all started their careers.
Ivory Coast striker Drogba (pictured) is out of favour at Chelsea and would like to move back to Marseille, where he rose to prominence before coming to England.
West Ham wide player Faubert is expected to sign for Lyon or Paris St-German this January, while Wigan's Olivier Kapo has struggled to break into the first team since arriving from relegated Birmingham in the summer and has been tipped for a switch to Auxerre or Paris St-Germain.
Drogba, 30, has often been said to want a reunion with Internazionale's former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, but would be content to play at L'OM, where he spent one successful season before joining the Blues in 2004.
"It clearly isn't the moment for me to talk about an eventual return to OM," he told La Provence. "I have a lot of respect for Chelsea and while I am with them, I can't say anything.
"The most important thing is to know that my attachment to Marseille is still intact. I have always said it. If something must come about, and I don't know under what conditions, OM are going to have to get in contact with Chelsea.
"I still love Marseille - that will never change whatever happens. I still feel at home here."
Faubert, meanwhile, is desperate to join Lyon because he believes it would enhance his prospects of a return to the France squad.
The 25-year-old has revealed West Ham are in talks with the French champions about his possible move to the Stade Gerland.
"I am crossing my fingers - the two clubs are in talks," the one-time France cap told Aujourd'hui Sport. "Lyon would really be great. I would rediscover Ligue 1 and France but also the Champions League and the eyes of the national team. My aim still remains the 2010 World Cup."
Former Auxerre, Juventus, Monaco and Levante and playmaker Kapo, 28, is resigned to the fact his future lies elsewhere.
"I will not close the door on Auxerre, or a move back to France," he told Le 10 Sport. "A move to PSG has always been my dream."
