Oympique Lyon General Manager Bernard Lacombe addressed recent transfer rumours that linked his club with two Inter Milan players (Patrick Vieira and Amantino Mancini). Lacombe said: "Patrick Vieira is a great player, but it's not our policy to sign players who are over 30 years old and with a high salary. .... We have been tracking Amantino Mancini since he was playing for Sao Caetano in Brazil. We tried to sign him from AS Roma, but he chose to join Inter. Why should we sign him now that he has just played a few games with Inter ?!".
Olympique Lyon officials are still interested in Croatia and Heerenveen left-back/winger Daniel Pranjic. The French club already tried to sign him last summer.
According to French media sources, Oympique Lyon have contacted Siena with the aim of signing 27 year old Moroccan midfielder Houssine Kharja.
