"Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series at the challenging Hungaroring, near Budapest, Hungary.
VIP guest drivers Norbert Michelisz from the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), as well as FIA GT3 European Championship pilots Csaba Walter and Stéphane Lémeret will try their hands in the 570 hp Lamborghini Super Trofeo race cars on 21-22 August 2010.
For the first time in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, a current FIA WTCC competitor will get behind the wheel of the #1 Automobili Lamborghini VIP car: local driver Norbert Michelisz, 2009 SEAT León Eurocup Champion and a rising star in the FIA WTCC with six Rookie Challenge victories, will make the switch from touring cars to the world’s fastest one-make series for the upcoming three rounds. The Hungarian will be partnered by official Lamborghini test driver Giorgio Sanna, who currently races a Lamborghini Super Trofeo in the Italian GT Championship. The Italian pilot had a significant influence in deriving the Super Trofeo race car from the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 road model and will take this opportunity to contribute its on-going development.
Hungarian pilot Csaba Walter, a recent FIA GT3 European Championship race winner and 2010 24 Hours of Dubai class winner, will take over the four-wheel drive #2 Automobili Lamborghini VIP car. His team-mate Belgian GT3 pilot Stéphane Lémeret will put his extensive racing experience to use in the three 40-minute races during the weekend."
