Pool of Radiance Debuts at No. 1
Players snapped up copies of the Pool of Radiance sequel the moment it hit shelves, immediately propelling it to the top spot on NPD Intelect’s list of best-selling PC games for September 23-29. Set in the Forgotten Realms world of Dungeons & Dragons, Pool of Radiance features D&D's New 3rd Edition Rules plus 3D animated characters and monsters. In this role-playing adventure, players choose from a variety of character classes to build a party of heroes and defeat a mysterious evil emanating from the newly awakened Pool of Radiance. Players can also join other people online in a multiplayer format that offers additional content as well as random dungeons. The release was plagued with reports of installation problems and other bugs, but this did not dampen consumer enthusiasm. Here is the rest of the top ten:
Pool Of Radiance: Ruins Of Myth Drannor from Ubisoft
The Sims from Electronic Arts
Diablo 2 Expansion Set: Lord of Destruction from Vivendi Universal Publishing
