Redditen hirtelen ezt találtam, ami nagyjából ugyan ezt írja le:
To put this in perspective actually what he measured is around 5-6 frames of input delay which is quite fine, around or even a bit better than the average input delay of fighting games nowadays.
Just prior episodes (especially the first 2) were so damn good and above the average. But this is a tendency, modern fighting games usually have a bit higher input lag than their predecessors.
I assume there is some technical explanation for this, I would assume it is somewhat related to the better graphics, more effects, wireless controllers, absence of CRT monitors, but I am just guessing, maybe someone can help us out with this.
Edit: some example I've found on the internet, note that it varies from patch to patch, from platform to platform, I wanted to collect some data with video proof:

Alatta kommentekben írogatják, hogy sok játékban patchelgetik, javítgatják, de nagyjából ennyi az átlagos érték, illetve írják, hogy minél puritánabb kinézetű egy játék általában annál alacsonyabb számot tudnak elérni, továbbá azt is írja valaki, hogy ez részben tudatos design döntés is a fighting game fejlesztők részéről az online elterjedése kapcsán, mert online-ban egy ilyen input lag jól elfedi a network delay-t a 2 user közt és single playerben is ezt az input lagot hagyják azért, hogy konzisztens legyen a játék single- és multiplayer módja.

A másik meg igen a rendes 1v1 hiánya. Teljesen idióták dolgoznak nintendonál, akik ezekért az online dolgokért felelősek komolyan mondom. Az hogy nincs rendes 1v1 de még online tournament sincs csak CPU val meg local... 2018 van nintendo ébresztő

Ami valóban probléma az az, hogy kismillió paramétert beállíthatsz arra, hogy milyen meccset szeretnél keresni és mivel több tízezer variáció lehetséges, ezért nyilván nem fog ugyan olyat találni, mint amilyenre bejelentkeztél, szóval megpróbál ahhoz kötelit keresni. Na és ezen a rendszeren nem ártana még finomítani, súlyoznia kéne a feltételeket, mert azt, hogy a meccs 3 vagy 4 perces valószínűleg könnyen elengedi az ember, azt viszont, hogy 1v1 vagy 4 fős FFA már nem, viszont a rendszer látszólag egyforma súlyozással kezeli ezeket a paramétereket és gyakran nem olyan játékmódban kötsz ki, mint amit beállítottál preferáltnak.
Ez amúgy elsősorban a kompetitív embereket zavarja, akik a játékot a randomot minél jobban kizárva, kompetitív módon, 1v1 módban szeretnék játszani és szerintem kéne nekik csinálni egy külön módot akár külön ranking rendszerrel is, ahol csak itemek nélkül 1v1 megy (mint a Wii U-s Smashben).
Amúgy van egy lobbyrendszer is, ott viszont olyan lobbyra jelentkezel be, amilyenre akarsz vagy kreálhatsz saját lobbyt, annyi, hogy ott mindig egy meccs megy, a többiek pedig nézők, illetve ahogy néztem ott nincs ranking.

It is the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game released so far, eclipsing the combined launch sales of Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee.
The game's launch sales are 302 per cent higher than the numbers achieved by Super Smash Bros for Wii U and they're 233 per cent higher than Super Smash Bros for 3DS. Launch sales are also 62.5 per cent higher than the Wii game Super Smash Bros Brawl. All of which means Ultimate is the fastest-selling Smash Bros game in the franchise's UK history.
It's worth noting that the sales only include physical numbers, so digital downloads of Ultimate have not been counted.

Nálam a Melee volt az utolsó, amivel játszottam és a 3DS-es rész demóját is megnéztem, szóval nekem is javarészt új az egész és csak ámulok és bámulok, hogy milyen elképesztő mennyiségű tartalom van a cuccban.
Az egyetlen dolog, amin szerintem csiszolhatnának az a matchmaking. Mondták is és érthető, hogy sok paraméter van, ezért nem úgy építi a meccseket, hogy mindenki ugyan olyan beállításon legyen, de azért súlyozhatná a kritériumokat, például az biztos nem sokakat zavarna, ha 30 másodperccel hosszabb meccsre kerülnek be, de az azért eléggé zavaró, hogy valaki 1v1et akar menni, aztán valami teljesen mást kap.
