"Iraq: Iraq possessed up to 4 Falcon 50Bs (No. 71, 101, 120 and 122). During the Iran-Iraq war, 2 Exocet missiles are fired on the American frigate "USS SHARK" causing great damage and especially the death of 37 sailors. Stories about this episode evoke a modified Falcon 50 at the origin of this attack. However most stories, tend more toward the shooting of a pair of Mirage F1.
During the first Gulf War, the entire fleet of Falcon 50 takes refuge on the territory of Iran. They will never be returned."

Egy francia fórum bejegyzés
"I found the story:
The end of the end, a true secret weapon of Saddam H.
The Mirage fighter had already impressed many commands in various nations and the Falcon-50 seemed to be a promising new equipment from Dassault. Was it possible to marry the qualities of the Mirage with those of the Falcon?
- In February 1987, it's yes!
The Iraqi Air Force is acquiring in France a modified Falcon-50, whose avionics on the left of the cockpit is standard, while the seat on the right has a real Mirage F1 cabin! The Iraqi command includes the addition of the Mirage F1EQ-5 radar, the Cyrano IVM and its sharp "nose" mounted on the front of the aircraft. Tried at Istres, tested by Iraqi pilots, the plane is delivered on February 9, 1987. This Falcon-50 registered YI-ALE (c / n.122), christened "Suzanne" [Ed .: it could have been renamed "Mi -con ", right? (MIrage-falCON)] is armed with two French missiles AM.39 Exocet!
Integrated into the Iraq squadron 84 anti-ship squadron, the Falcon is already operational on March 17th. His mission will be the destruction of Iranian tankers. So this is what a pilot is trying to do on May 17, successfully placing his missiles in the middle of a ship that will turn out to be the USS "Stark", an American missile frigate that could not be found. wait for that. The drama kills 37 American sailors. The "Stark", commissioned in October 1982, will not sink and will be repaired. This will be the only release of this kind of this "special" Falcon-50. The unit will be reset to the original standard. In 1991, during the Gulf War, 3 of the 5 Iraqi Falcon-50s will take refuge in Iran, which has since become appropriate for them (c.101, 120, 122).
Finally, this is probably the only example to date of a warship bombed by a business jet "Bizjet", and this is unfortunately not a "mirage" even if you do not believe your eyes!"

Valami doku film ajánlást is találtam a Falkland-háború és a Super Etendard-Exocet-ről.
Van vagy lesz-e valaha angolul nem tudom.
L'affaire des missiles Exocet
"On May 4, 1982, an Exocet missile launched by a Super-Etendard of the Naval Air Navy sinks a destroyer of the Royal Navy come to reconquer the Malvinas Islands. The couple Super Etendard-Exocet, manufactured by the French, will be the object of a secret war between British and Argentines.
In this new "strange affair", Sasha Maréchal and Patrick Pesnot will trace an unknown facet of the Falklands war and investigate the ambiguous role played by France in this conflict. This hybrid documentary of 52 minutes, produced by Vivement Lundi and Antoine Martin Production, combines archives, testimonies and animation. Key witnesses in Argentina, the United Kingdom and France decipher the role of French weapons. From the Sheffield destroyer's attack to the Plum-Duff operation led by the British Special Forces, the film offers an unprecedented look at this affair, which waved relations between Margaret Thatcher and François Mitterrand."
