The Nissan 200SX went by different names depending on the sales market. In Japan the car was called the Nissan Silvia. The 1994 - 2001 model was based on the S14 platform which was wider, lower and slightly shorter than the previous S13 platform. Wheelbase and track were both increased, which made for improved handling.
In 1996 the 200SX underwent a major styling update which gave the car aggressive projector style headlights and tinted taillights. The turbocharger was also fitted with a more efficient ball bearing center section.
